The Role
As an HGV Technician based in Preston, you will provide high-quality maintenance and repair services on a range of heavy goods vehicles. Your technical skills and attention to detail will ensure vehicles are kept in peak condition, supporting efficient road transport operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of HGVs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Perform fault finding and rectification using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Complete scheduled inspections and general maintenance tasks.
- Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work in compliance with health and safety practices and company procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role.
- Relevant technical qualifications and hands-on repair experience.
- DAF technical knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
