PSV Shift Engineer

As a PSV Shift Engineer in Stratford, you'll be joining a busy, well-established bus engineering operation, working with a modern PSV fleet. The Role
You will play a key part in ensuring buses and coaches remain safe, reliable, and ready for service. Your expertise will help keep passengers moving across East London, working within DVSA and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing buses and coaches
- Performing scheduled vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Identifying and repairing defective components
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and regulatory inspections
- Responding rapidly to vehicle defects and engineering issues as they arise
- Completing maintenance documentation accurately
- Maintaining high Health & Safety and workshop standards at all times
Skills and Experience
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous PSV, bus, or coach maintenance experience
- Valid PCV driving licence
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Solid knowledge of DVSA vehicle maintenance standards
- Ability to thrive within a shift-based engineering environment
Experienced HGV Technicians with strong PSV exposure may also be considered.
