HGV Technician

The position of HGV Technician involves:
• Diagnosing and fault finding on vehicles and trailers using latest diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure all vehicles & trailers are maintained in accordance with DVSA and manufacturer’s 
specifications.
• Ensure all legal documents are filled out accurately and on time so are readily available for 
processing.
• Ensure that best practice is always employed in relation to component replacement; repair 
duration; document completion.
• Work as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the 
workshop operations achieves its objectives and targets. 
• Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment.
• To ensure that all relevant legislation and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
Essential skills required for HGV Technician:
• Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair).
• HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial. 
• 3 years previous experience required.
• Intuitive diagnostic skills.
• Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.

• Basic salary is £41,769pa, based on 42.5hrs per week, working Monday – Friday.
OVERTIME PAID AT X 1.5 = £28.35ph, OTE - £46,191pa AND MORE! PLUS:


• You will receive £10.00 when on standby rota basis.
• For each call out you will receive £20.00 call out charge.
• Any hours worked on call out, you will receive £28.35ph.
• Overtime is available and paid hourly on the weekends.
